One difference between EZD and S2.0 is that the midi engine is no longer a part of the drum engine like it was in EZD. That being said, I rarely install a 1.0 of anything that works as flawlessly as S2.0 did. One thing to mention is that while EZD was not officially supported in Reaper by toontrack, S2.0 is - obviously many of us used EZD and reaper perfectly so the point is subtle - but no less appreciated in terms of toontrack's ability to provide feedback and fixes if and when they're needed. Toontrack considers their approach to be superior, for what it's worth - big shocker there! The difference between disk streaming and RAM streaming (on a decent system) is also not really worth comparing imho. They are both clearly at the top of their game and will give you great drum tracks. But trying to compare BFD to S2.0 in just this way is silly. you should definitely check out the toontrack site. how the drums were recorded, bit depth, what drums etc. ![]() While I haven't actually produced anything of finished quality, I've been familiarizing myself with the program, which is obviously more complicated than EZD. I also have just started with s2.0 - upgrading from ezdrummer.
